Sites
Ntunjambili,
Kranskop
Near Kranskop, overlooking the Tukela River Valley.
It is an
outstanding Natal
landmark. The first European to climb it was Captain A.M.
Montgomery
of the royal
fusiliers, during the Anglo-Zulu War. There is a
magnificent view of
the Tukela Valley
from here. A Zulu story tells of young maidens lured into the
fastness of the rock,
never to be seen again.
Mooi RiverBuildings
Weston
Agricultural College
10 kms east of Mooi River on the Greytown Road.
The Weston site had good grazing. During the
Anglo-Boer War, it
was used as a remount depot for cavalry horses. It was formally
established in
December 1900. The Weston Agricultural College still uses
several of
the old facilities.
It is a national
monument.
Churches
St Johns Gowrie Presbyterian Church
This Presbyterian Church is declared a national monument.
It was
built in 1872 and was

refuge during the Langalibalele Rebellion. The woodwork is
